A social campaign to improve road safety
We have concluded an agreement for co-financing the project of the Secretariat of the National Road Safety Council (NRSC), an organizational unit of the Ministry of Infrastructure, which aims to improve safety on our roads.
It is about the project “Educational activities to reduce driving with excessive speed to improve the safety of road users” co-financed from EU funds for 2014-2020.
The project is part of the main goal of the Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment, which contributes to sustainable growth, more environmentally friendly and more competitive resource-efficient economy, where environmental objectives are complemented by measures for economic, social and territorial cohesion.
The eligible costs of the project include the purchase of airtime in nationwide TV stations along with the broadcast of an advertising spot aimed at implementation of a social campaign. Moreover, the project takes into account personal expenses that are necessary to achieve the assumed educational and social goals.
The main goal of the co-financed project is a social campaign that draws attention to the problem of excessive speed while driving and to the consequences and risks of this for both the driver and other road users.
The social campaign started on February 1, 2023 and is planned to end on December 31, 2023. By broadcasting an advertising spot, NRSC aims to reduce the number of accidents and potential hazards on the roads, which will translate into an increase in the quality of life and the sense of safety of all road users.
The project has a clearly emphasized social scope and is designed to effectively encourage road users to change their attitudes and behaviours in the context of respecting speed limits.
Educational measures to reduce speeding play a crucial role in improving road safety.
The campaign aimed at the public will contribute to increasing awareness of the need to respect speed limits, which in the long run will contribute to improving road safety and reducing the number of accidents.
