Priorities of the EU strategy Europe 2020, namely the 6th Priority AXIS of the Infrastructure and Environment Operational Programme: Development of low-carbon public transport in cities and the Electromobility Development Plan developed by the Ministry of Investment and Development in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy - a comprehensive programme for the introduction of electric buses to Polish cities, became the reason to organize the Conference.
The main objective of the event is to exchange experiences and best practices related to projects in this field, including technological, environmental and economic aspects.
The panel discussions will focus on issues such as Smart City, electric and alternative urban transport and dedicated charging infrastructure. The conference will also address legal and institutional solutions and development trends (including zero-emission public transport in Europe and worldwide).
Representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology, the Ministry of Energy, the European Commission, the International Public Transport Union as well as foreign guests from Great Britain, Croatia, Canada and the United Arab Emirates were invited to participate in the event. The seminar's audience will be composed of city mayors, municipal transport operators, representatives of Integrated Territorial Investments, representatives of the scientific world and national institutions responsible for the deployment of European funds.
During the event there will be presentations of the Eagle One solar vehicle, as well as an electric motorcycle and electric car, which will be delivered by students from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow and students of the "Łódź Solar Team" from the Łódź University of Technology.
The conference will take place between 10:00-16:00 hrs.
A detailed programme with information about the location will be published at a later date.
