New competition for trams under the NRP

We are announcing a call for proposals in the competitive mode under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan – this time for trams (Component E, Investment: E1.2.1).

The aim of the competition is to select projects involving the purchase of new tramway rolling stock.

The total amount earmarked for EU funding is more than PLN 865.7 million.

Who is entitled to apply

public transport organisers and operators.

One applicant may submit one application for a project within an urban functional area.
Applications can be submitted from 3.06.2024 to 05.07.2024.

Lower Silesian railroad with KPO support for modernization

We have transferred over PLN 114.6 million from the National Plan for Reconstruction and Increasing Resilience for the revitalisation of sections of railroad lines 319, 326 and 341. In total, work will be carried out on more than 33 kilometres. The investment is part of a larger project to modernise railroads in Lower Silesia.

The Centre for EU Transport Projects has signed two agreements on support for projects implemented by Śląskie Voivodship and Koleje Śląskie (Silesian Railways). They concern 10 vehicles in total – both agreements are for the purchase of 5 electric multiple units compliant with the newest technical standards.
