European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021-2027

The main objective of the Program is to improve the conditions for the country’s development by building technical and social infrastructure in accordance with the principles of sustainable development, including through:

  • reducing the carbon intensity of the economy transitioning towards an environmentally friendly and circular economy;
  • building an efficient and resilient transport system with the lowest possible negative impact on the environment;
  • completion of the TEN-T core network sections by 2030;
  • improving transportation safety;
  • ensuring equal access to health care and improving the resilience of the health system;
  • strengthening the role of culture in social and economic development.
CEUTP's role in the FENiKS program

The Center for EU Transport Projects acts as an Intermediate Body (IP) for the following transport priorities:

  • Urban Transportation Priority III.
  • Priority IV Support for the transport sector from the Cohesion Fund.
  • Priority V Support for the transport sector from the ERDF and

Priority VIII Technical Assistance (with respect to technical assistance projects implemented by the Chief Inspector of Construction Supervision, the General Conservator of Monuments, and the Governors; as well as a beneficiary of technical assistance).

Beneficiaries of the Program

The beneficiaries of the program will be:

  • Transport infrastructure managers (e.g., GDDKiA, PKP PLK S.A., PKP S.A., PGW Wody Polskie, PAŻP, maritime authorities, local government units),
  • Emergency services responsible for transport safety (e.g., Police, Fire Department, Maritime Search and Rescue Service),
  • Entities responsible for managing airports and seaports;
  • Companies operating in the field of transportation (e.g., intermodal terminals, rail carriers).
CEUTP's core competencies
  • Management of the aforementioned priorities of the Program;
  • Selecting projects, concluding grant agreements with beneficiaries and making decisions on project funding;
  • Verification that the expenses declared by the beneficiaries were actually incurred and in a correct manner;
  • Settlement of grant agreements with beneficiaries;
  • Providing the Managing Authority with all the information necessary for the implementation of the expenditure accounting process to the European Commission;
  • Monitoring the implementation of project funding agreements, including indicators;
  • Control of ongoing projects;
  • Preparation of reports for the Managing Authority on the implementation of assigned tasks;
  • Evaluation of individual priorities;
  • Recovery of recoverable amounts, including issuance of administrative decisions in this regard;
  • Conducting information and promotional and educational activities.

The capital of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province has received as much as PLN 225 million in funding for the development of modern and environmentally friendly urban transport. More than PLN 193.5 million for new trams for Wrocław – we have signed an contract on co-financing from the European Funds

The Centre for EU Transport Projects has concluded another funding contract under the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021-2027 programme. More than PLN 193.5 million was transferred to Wrocław – the city will use the money to purchase 33 modern, ecological, comfortable and safe trams.
