We know the results of the “Urban Rail – Call for Proposals 1” competition
Six projects will receive funding from the European Funds. The money comes from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021-2027 Programme. The total amount of support is exceeding PLN 836.7 million.
The results
The Centre for EU Transport Projects has completed the evaluation of the applications submitted for the “Urban Rail – Call for Proposals 1″ competition.
Of all the applications:

6 projects met all requirements and will receive funding,
-
1 project met the requirements but did not get the money due to the depletion of funds (it ended up on the reserve list),
-
1 project did not meet the basic criteria and was not qualified.

Warsaw metro line 2: the western section is nearly finished (photo gallery)

Only weeks remain until three new metro stations in Warsaw’s Bemowo district are finished, together with the Mory technical and stabling depot (STP Mory). Warszawa Wschodnia rebuild begins: a PLN 4 billion investment
After the upgrade of Warszawa Zachodnia (Warsaw West), it is now the turn of the other side of the Vistula. A major rebuild of Warszawa Wschodnia (Warsaw East) station and the rail infrastructure around it will start soon. The investment will cost about PLN 4 billion, with more than PLN 2.5 billion coming from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021-2027 (FEnIKS) programme.
