“Funds with Principles – how to implement transport projects in accordance with the principle of non-discrimination”.
Beginning
10 June 2026 08:31End
10 June 2026 08:31Modern transportation is not just infrastructure, rolling stock and technology. It is first and foremost people – with different needs, abilities and limitations. Therefore, transportation projects co-financed by the European Union must be designed and implemented in a way that ensures equality of opportunity, accessibility and non-discrimination.
The history of the implementation of transport investments in Europe shows that even well-planned projects can generate barriers – architectural, digital, informational or organizational – if equality principles are not taken into account at every stage of their implementation. The consequences of such negligence include not only the risk of financial corrections, but above all the real exclusion of some users from benefiting from the effects of the project.
Our target group
Beneficiaries of FEnIKS and FEPW programs are invited to the training course “Funds with principles – how to implement transport projects in accordance with the principle of non-discrimination“:
- correctly interpret and apply EU horizontal rules,
- understand how to translate equality requirements into concrete design decisions,
- avoid the most common mistakes resulting in non-compliance of projects with EU law,
- design transportation that is accessible, usable and safe for all users.
During the training, experts will show how theory translates into practice – from the planning stage of a project, through its implementation, to the sustainability and use of the effects of the investment. Participants will also learn lessons from previous financial perspectives and the current expectations of the Intermediate Body for transport projects in 2021-2027.
This training is not just an information obligation, but a real investment in the quality of projects and their social value.
