CEF Transport Reflow Call 2026 closed: 25 Polish applications submitted

The CEF Transport Reflow Call 2026 opened on 19 June 2026 and closed on 6 October 2026. Applicants submitted 25 applications for funding that received the endorsement of the Member State, on whose behalf the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy (MFiPR) acts. It was the last call for funding from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) in the transport sector in the current programming period. Read more on the MFiPR website (in Polish).

The total value of the applications is more than EUR 403 million, and the requested funding from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) is about EUR 215 million.

The Polish project proposals cover:

  • dual civil-military use infrastructure: 12 projects,
  • the rail sector: 7 projects,
  • charging and shore-side power infrastructure in seaports: 3 projects,
  • charging infrastructure for heavy electric vehicles: 2 projects,
  • adapting transport infrastructure at the Union’s external borders: 1 project.

Experts from the European Commission and CINEA (the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency) will assess the applications until the end of March 2027. The call results are expected to be announced in March-April 2027.

The information on the closed call also appeared on the CINEA website.

By the closing date, CINEA had received 246 applications requesting almost EUR 3 billion in funding. That is nearly 2.69 times the EUR 1.1 billion budget available in the 2026 CEF Transport calls.

CINEA will now check whether the applications are admissible and eligible. Applications that meet the formal requirements will then go to independent external experts, the European Commission and CINEA for evaluation. Applicants will learn the outcome in March 2027, and the Grant Agreements for the selected projects are expected to be signed by June 2027.

The selected projects will help build and modernise transport infrastructure in the European Union and beyond. They will support the development of the trans-European transport network (TEN-T), including through military mobility.
