Conflict in projects: participation as a tool for solutions
Beginning
30 April 2026 18:25End
30 April 2026 18:25It’s time to look at the transportation planning process from a human perspective. Ahead is an event on the role of public participation in planning and investment processes. “Conflict in design: participation as a tool for solutions” conference is organized in cooperation with DG REGIO Peer2Peer networks.
At the headquarters of the Center for EU Transport Projects, we will talk about participation by seeing people and their needs. We will examine how to effectively involve communities in planning processes to avoid possible conflicts. And if they have already occurred – we will look for mediation techniques in public projects, talk about recognizing manipulation and building trust. It will be theoretical and workshop – a good opportunity to improve your competence and gain knowledge that can actually translate into improving the quality of the planning and investment processes being implemented.
All representatives of the administration, experts, practitioners and those interested in the subject of public participation and transport planning – especially members and supporters of the CEUTP Public Participation Network – are invited to participate.
The event will be attended by experts from Poland and other European Union countries, which will create a space for exchanging experiences and building international cooperation.
A detailed agenda for the event is available at the bottom of the page.
On May 7 only, Polish-English simultaneous translation is provided during the event.
The sessions on 2026, May 6th, will be conducted entirely in English, and on May 8th only in Polish.
The first day is a closed part for members and members of the international expert community REGIO Peer2Peer on public participation. If you are interested in participating in the first day, please contact Karolina Ptaszynska – coordinator of this project on behalf of CUPT(kptaszynska@cupt.gov.pl).
Participation in the conference is free.
However, the organizer does not provide reimbursement for travel and accommodation expenses.
We will accept registrations for participation via the form below until Monday, April 27. We will provide confirmation of registration for the event via email once registration is complete.

Nowoczesny transport to nie tylko infrastruktura, tabor i technologie. To przede wszystkim ludzie – o różnych potrzebach, możliwościach i ograniczeniach. Dlatego projekty transportowe współfinansowane ze środków Unii Europejskiej muszą być projektowane i realizowane w sposób, który zapewnia równość szans, dostępność i niedyskryminację.
