Five non-competitive calls for proposals under the FEnIKS 2021-2027 for PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. are being launched

We are announcing five non-competitive calls for proposals under the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021-2027 Programme for the company pursuing public objectives – PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A.

The calls for proposals are related to the projects under the Priorities: IV Cohesion Fund support to the transport sector, V ERDF support to the transport sector for operations:

02 Rail in TEN-T;
04 Rail, light rail and rail safety.

All calls for proposals will support, among other things, investments consisting of:

construction, reconstruction and modernisation of railway lines, including selection of design elements;
ERTMS installation on railway lines;
construction, reconstruction and modernisation of engineering facilities;
phasing as part of the construction, reconstruction and modernisation of railway lines and the installation of ERTMS on railway lines;
multi-location projects for point-to-point rail infrastructure;
electrification of railway lines;
construction of traction power supply and contact systems, rail traffic control systems, systems to improve passenger transport management and safety in passenger rail and freight traffic;
construction, reconstruction and modernisation of engineering facilities.

The railway infrastructure manager PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. is authorised to submit applications.

Depending on the call for proposals, applications can be submitted from 30 November 2023 to 31 December 2024 or until 30 June 2026.

We transferred European Funds for reconstruction of Otwock and Dęblin stations

On March 2, 2026, we signed an agreement with Polskie Koleje Państwowe (Polish State Railways) (PKP S.A.) for funding of the project No. FENX.04.02-IP.02-0005/25 entitled “Construction and reconstruction of selected railroad stations in the Mazovia and Lublin provinces.” The investment received support in the amount of more than PLN 34 million.

Reconstruction of the Jagiellonów Roundabout – an EU investment that will change the center of Bydgoszcz

The Jagiellonów Roundabout – one of the most important intersections in Bydgoszcz – will undergo a comprehensive reconstruction that will significantly improve the comfort and safety of movement in the heart of the city. For the implementation of this investment, we have provided PLN 27.6 million from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment.

Construction of the S19 expressway between Rzeszów Południe and Babica with EU funding

The project includes the construction of a 10.27-kilometre new section of the S19 along with a tunnel, the “Babica” interchange, MOPs, engineering facilities, safety systems and pro-environmental solutions. The General Directorate of National Roads and Highways received over PLN 1.49 billion in EU support for its implementation.

EU support for construction and purchase of new specialized rescue units

The Centre for EU Transport Projects has signed a grant agreement for the project “Construction and purchase of new specialised rescue vessels for the SAR Service” (No. FENX.05.07-IP.02-0001/25). The beneficiary of the project is the Maritime Search and Rescue Service.
