Five non-competitive calls for proposals under the FEnIKS 2021-2027 for PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. are being launched
We are announcing five non-competitive calls for proposals under the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021-2027 Programme for the company pursuing public objectives – PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A.
The calls for proposals are related to the projects under the Priorities: IV Cohesion Fund support to the transport sector, V ERDF support to the transport sector for operations:
- 02 Rail in TEN-T;
- 04 Rail, light rail and rail safety.
All calls for proposals will support, among other things, investments consisting of:
- construction, reconstruction and modernisation of railway lines, including selection of design elements;
- ERTMS installation on railway lines;
- construction, reconstruction and modernisation of engineering facilities;
- phasing as part of the construction, reconstruction and modernisation of railway lines and the installation of ERTMS on railway lines;
- multi-location projects for point-to-point rail infrastructure;
- electrification of railway lines;
- construction of traction power supply and contact systems, rail traffic control systems, systems to improve passenger transport management and safety in passenger rail and freight traffic;
- construction, reconstruction and modernisation of engineering facilities.
The railway infrastructure manager PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. is authorised to submit applications.
Depending on the call for proposals, applications can be submitted from 30 November 2023 to 31 December 2024 or until 30 June 2026.

More Road Projects Funded by European Funds
Two more projects by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways have received funding from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, and Environment Program 2021–2027. These projects involve the construction of the Morawica and Wola Morawicka bypass along National Road DK73, as well as sections of the S19 expressway between Międzyrzec Podlaski and Lubartów Północ.

Expert Workshop on Dual-Use Projects and Transportation Resilience, Featuring CEUTP
On June 19, 2026, an expert workshop titled “Dual-Use Projects and Building the Resilience of the Railway System with the Support of European Funds” was held in Warsaw. Among those participating in the event was Sylwia Cieślak-Wilk, deputy director of CEUTP, who presented an institutional perspective on the role of dual-use infrastructure in the EU’s current and future financial frameworks.

Nearly 424.6 mln zł from European Funds for the modernization of the Ujście Nysy barrage
The Center for EU Transport Projects has signed two agreements with the State Water Management Authority “Wody Polskie” regarding the modernization of the Ujście Nysy weir on the Oder River. The projects, with a total value of over 538 mln zł, will receive nearly 424.6 mln zł in funding from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, and Environment 2021–2027 program.
