PLN 1.5 billion for modern railway rolling stock – the call for proposal starts
The Centre for EU Transport Projects announced a call for proposals for co-financing under the FENX.05.05 “Tabor kolejowy” (Rolling Stock) action from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment 2021–2027 programme.
The allocation budget for projects regarding the purchase of zero-emission passenger trains is PLN 1.5 billion.
Who can apply?
Entities that can apply for support are, among others:

local government units,
-
managers and operators of public transport,
-
passenger rail transport companies.
What can be funded?
The funding covers purchase of modern, environmentally-friendly train compositions, fitted to handle:

supra-regional connections,
-
connections within agglomerations.
Duration of the call for proposals

Start: 30 September 2025 (at 12:01 AM)
-
End: 31 January 2026 (at 11:59 PM)
The applications should only be submitted in an electronic form, via the WOD2021 app.
Scope of support

Maximum level of co-financing: up to 50% of eligible costs.

More Road Projects Funded by European Funds
Two more projects by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways have received funding from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, and Environment Program 2021–2027. These projects involve the construction of the Morawica and Wola Morawicka bypass along National Road DK73, as well as sections of the S19 expressway between Międzyrzec Podlaski and Lubartów Północ.

Expert Workshop on Dual-Use Projects and Transportation Resilience, Featuring CEUTP
On June 19, 2026, an expert workshop titled “Dual-Use Projects and Building the Resilience of the Railway System with the Support of European Funds” was held in Warsaw. Nearly 424.6 mln zł from European Funds for the modernization of the Ujście Nysy barrage
The Center for EU Transport Projects has signed two agreements with the State Water Management Authority “Wody Polskie” regarding the modernization of the Ujście Nysy weir on the Oder River. The projects, with a total value of over 538 mln zł, will receive nearly 424.6 mln zł in funding from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, and Environment 2021–2027 program.
