Update of the regulations for the call for projects for the Intermodal Transport competition under the FEnIKS program
Please note! Based on the consent of the Managing Authority of the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, and Environment program, a change has been introduced to the Project Selection Regulations for procedure no. FENX.05.06-IP.02-001/24 (competitive call for proposals for Priority FENX.05: Support for the Transport Sector from the ERDF, Measure FENX.05.06: Intermodal Transport). This change removes information about the division of allocations between individual regions (i.e., more developed, transitional, less developed).
The change stems from the fact that the possibility of funding intermodal projects is regulated by the Regulation of the Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy of October 18, 2024, on state aid for the implementation of intermodal transport projects under the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021–2027 program, and the European Commission’s Decision of October 3, 2024, approving the granting of such financial support. This document does not provide for any additional differentiation in the amount of funding for projects based on their regional affiliation. Therefore, there is no limit on support for individual regions where intermodal projects meeting the call for proposals will be implemented.
This is due to the specific nature of the aforementioned investments, whose scope, impact, and benefits are far broader than those within a specific region. The only location criterion is the territory of the country, where funding for projects is set at 50% of eligible costs in the aforementioned regulation.
As a result, the ranking list will rank all submitted projects based on their score. Therefore, support (up to the allocation amount specified in the Regulations) will be awarded to projects with the highest scores—those that will generate the greatest benefits in terms of the FEnIKS program objectives.
