Analysis of Road Safety Performance Indicators
We are pleased to inform you that the second mission within Action 2.5.1 of the Twinning Project “Increasing Road Safety in Azerbaijan” has been successfully completed. The mission, focusing on Road Safety Performance Indicators, has yielded significant results and insights.
As part of this mission, experts concentrated on analysing existing road safety indicators using a comprehensive questionnaire developed in the initial phase of the project. They also collected detailed data to better understand the current situation and challenges related to road safety in Azerbaijan.
During meetings with representatives of key institutions, such as the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Azerbaijan State Road Transport Agency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Health, experts presented an analysis of the gathered information. As a result of this work, they also formulated recommendations aimed at strengthening road safety measures.
The ultimate goal of this project activity is to develop a comprehensive report containing indicators and data collected by relevant authorities in Azerbaijan. This report will be a valuable tool in the pursuit of improving road safety in the country.
Within the framework of the twinning project “Increasing Road Safety in Azerbaijan,” we continue to support Azerbaijan in road safety efforts, and this mission represents another step toward achieving this goal.
