Meeting with Polish Beneficiaries of the EU-Ukraine Solidarity Lanes at the headquarters of the CEUTP
The meeting was attended by representatives from the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, the Ministry of Finance’s National Revenue Administration, the Lublin Executive Board for Maintenance of Border Crossings, and PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A.
The goal of these projects is to increase the capacity, interoperability, and efficiency of border crossings between Poland and Ukraine, supporting the smooth flow of people and goods. The Solidarity Lanes Program, initiated by the European Commission in response to logistical needs arising from the conflict in Ukraine, enables the development of key road and rail infrastructure, contributing to the efficient export of Ukrainian goods to the EU. Since May 2022, the Solidarity Lanes have facilitated the export of approximately 126 million tons of Ukrainian goods, including agricultural products and industrial raw materials.
The meeting provided an opportunity to summarize the progress and challenges in project implementation, exchange experiences, and discuss management and audit principles. Participants also had the chance to discuss current issues and next steps in cooperation, which will contribute to the effective implementation of projects under the Solidarity Lanes.
