CEUTP Participates in DG REGIO’s Citizen Participation Community Meeting
CEUTP Actively Participates in DG REGIO’s Peer 2 Peer Communities Initiative on Building Citizen Participation. On June 20, 2024, an online meeting of the Citizen Participation community took place, featuring representatives from CEUTP and dozens of experts from across Europe. Since May 2024, PwC has been coordinating this initiative.
The Peer2peer Community (Citizen Participation Community), which includes CEUTP, held a productive online meeting in June 2024, bringing together 23 participants from various EU countries. Since May 2024, PwC has been coordinating the work within this initiative. This time, the activities focused on strengthening citizen engagement across Europe.
The meeting began with introductions of key participants, including representatives from DG REGIO and Community Champions, including CEUTP representatives. These experts shared valuable insights on the importance of citizen participation in project evaluations and international cooperation.A survey conducted before the meeting among representatives from various levels of administration, NGOs, and academia revealed varying levels of engagement in this area across EU member states. It also highlighted key areas of interest, including digital tools for citizen engagement, promoting a culture of participation, and innovative implementations of the partnership principle.
The meeting agenda included brief presentations on potential future topics, such as youth participation, digital engagement tools, and fostering a culture of participation in public administration. These topics sparked engaging discussions among participants. Looking ahead, the Peer2peer Community plans to organize two more online meetings in the second half of the year. An in-person meeting is also being considered for 2025.The meeting concluded with a commitment to continue gathering information and planning future activities to ensure that the CP community remains a dynamic platform for knowledge and experience exchange.

New DNSH Guidelines for the Next Financial Perspective – When Will We Know the Details?
On 18–19 May, a two-day workshop dedicated to the practical application of the Do No Significant Harm (DNSH) principle in EU-funded projects took place in Brussels. Each Member State delegated two experts. Poland was represented, among others, by Ewa Paderewska, Head of the Environmental Protection Unit at CEUPT.

DG REGIO Peer2Peer Public Procurement: third meeting in 2026 with in the framework of international cooperation
On 14 May, the third online meeting in 2026 of the DG REGIO Peer2Peer Public Procurement group took place, with the participation of an expert from Center for EU Transport Projects (CEUTP) and approximately 30 representatives of institutions from EU Member States involved in the management and control of EU-funded projects.

PSO Contracts in Rail Transport: Experience Exchange Within a TAIEX Expert Mission
The expert mission was carried out in cooperation with the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG ENEST) of the European Commission, acting on behalf of the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO). The TAIEX-REGIO Peer2Peer programme supports the implementation of EU regional and urban policy through the exchange of knowledge and experience between Member States.
