Call for proposals related to funding for zero-emission rolling stock launches – start 5 May!

A new competitive call under the NRP for the purchase of modern, environmentally friendly rolling stock for regional services will be launched from 5 May. Find out who can apply for funding and how to apply!

Zero-emission trains for the regions – call for proposals from 5 May

Today we are announcing the next edition of the competition (TABOR 2.0) for funding the purchase of passenger rolling stock under the National Recovery Plan (NRP). The funds can be used for the following vehicles:

  • zero-emission (electric or hybrid),
  • equipped with ERTMS,
  • adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.

The total allocation is almost PLN 617.5 million and the maximum grant is 85% of the cost (up to almost PLN 31 million per vehicle).

Which entities can apply?

  • railway passenger transport companies,
  • local authorities and their associations.

How and when to apply?

The call for proposals will run from 5 to 16 May 2025. Applications should be submitted via the WOD2021 application – for details, see the regulations on the competition website.

Lower Silesian railroad with KPO support for modernization

We have transferred over PLN 114.6 million from the National Plan for Reconstruction and Increasing Resilience for the revitalisation of sections of railroad lines 319, 326 and 341. In total, work will be carried out on more than 33 kilometres. The investment is part of a larger project to modernise railroads in Lower Silesia.
