ERTMS in railway vehicles: Announcement of competitive call for proposals
We are happy to announce that in a few days’ time, on 3 December to be exact, the Centre for EU Transport Projects will open a call for proposals in the competitive mode under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRP). The call relates to the implementation of projects to equip powered or cab railway vehicles with a modern ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System) system.
The support is aimed at modernising and upgrading the railway infrastructure in Poland.
The ERTMS system is an important element of the European strategy to improve the safety and efficiency of rail transport. Its implementation will allow better coordination of rail traffic, increase line capacity and reduce the risk of accidents. The implementation of the system will make the railways much more attractive from a freight point of view.
All interested parties are encouraged to prepare and submit proposals. Detailed information on the call, including important deadlines and contact details in case of questions, will be made available on our website under the dedicated competition tab.
Financial support for the implementation of these projects will be provided to beneficiaries under the Ordinance of the Minister of Infrastructure of 5 November 2024 on granting public aid for equipping railway vehicles with propulsion or control cabin with ERTMS system within the framework of the National Plan for Reconstruction and Increasing Resilience.
We invite you to participate in the call for proposals.
