NRP funding for eliminating bottlenecks and increasing the capacity of railway lines – Stage I and Stage II
On 28 and 29 November 2023, we signed two funding contracts for PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. to eliminate bottlenecks and increase the capacity of railway lines (first for Stage I and then for Stage II of the project).
Both projects are funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan as part of the investment: E2.1.1 Railways.
The aim of both projects is to improve the capacity of railway lines by building the necessary infrastructure elements, both at railway stations and on the routes connecting these stations as a result of, among other things:
- additions to the edges of selected platforms and turnouts at one station;
- construction of spacing points on certain routes;
- reconstruction of platforms and improved functionality at selected stations;
- increasing capacity on one section;
- construction of a passing station on a selected railway line and a station in one of the areas;
- reconstruction of a selected station and construction of one track.
The eligible values of the investments are: for Stage I – PLN 84,400,000.00, and for Stage II – PLN 211,600,000.00.
