CEUTP Shares Experience with Hungary – TAIEX Workshop Featuring Our Expert
On April 10–11, 2025, CEUTP representative Przemysław Ostrowski took part in an international workshop held in Hungary under the TAIEX Instrument. The event aimed to support the local Audit Authority – the Directorate General for Audit of European Funds (DGAEF) – in preventing and mitigating conflicts of interest in EU co-financed projects.
The CEUTP expert, together with a representative from the Croatian audit institution ARPA, shared practical knowledge and experience in identifying and reducing the risk of conflicts of interest. The discussion focused on specific examples from Polish practice, both in the area of public procurement covered by the Public Procurement Law and those exempt from its application.
This important event not only helped to strengthen the competencies of DGAEF staff but also marked another step toward building lasting cooperation between CEUTP, the Hungarian audit institution DGAEF, and the Croatian partner ARPA. The mutual exchange of experiences forms the foundation for effective monitoring and control of EU-funded transport projects. Promoting good practices in this field is a vital part of CEUTP’s mission – which is why we are always eager to share our expertise and know-how.
What is TAIEX?
The Technical Assistance and Information Exchange (TAIEX) is an instrument for technical support and information sharing created by the European Commission. Its main goal is to assist public administrations in both EU Member States and associated countries in aligning with EU standards and regulations. The core of this mechanism lies in leveraging the knowledge and experience of experts who are themselves public administration professionals from EU Member States. You can find more information on TAIEX here.
