Call for proposals for investment in sub-urban public transport
We are announcing a competitive call for proposals for a project to be supported under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Component E: Green, Smart Mobility, Investment: E1.1.2 Zero- and low-carbon public transport (buses) [sub-urban].
Applications can be submitted from 13 May to 14 June 2024 via a dedicated application form WOD2021. However, the order in which they are submitted has no bearing on their assessment.
PLN 1,403,459,752.03 was earmarked to support the projects, but the final available allocation will depend on the current EUR/PLN exchange rate at the time. The maximum level of EU support for projects is up to 95% of eligible expenditure.
Support can be given to investments concerning, among other things, the purchase of zero- and low-emission rolling stock with the necessary charging/refuelling infrastructure. All details, including rules and other documentation, on the supported investments are available on the under the dedicated call for proposals.
Public transport organisers can apply for support, more specifically:
- provinces;
- districts;
- district associations;
- district/municipal associations;
- inter-municipal associations;
- municipalities;
- public transport operators.

PKP Intercity is consistently modernizing its rolling stock thanks to funds from the NRP. On April 2 this year, the carrier presented the first of 50 COMBO passenger cars that will soon be put into service. This is an important stage of the CEUTP-supported project.

Lower Silesian railroad with KPO support for modernization
We have transferred over PLN 114.6 million from the National Plan for Reconstruction and Increasing Resilience for the revitalisation of sections of railroad lines 319, 326 and 341. In total, work will be carried out on more than 33 kilometres. The investment is part of a larger project to modernise railroads in Lower Silesia.
