A groundbreaking look at transport and borders – invitation to online meeting
The world of transportation and border management is changing faster than most organizations can keep up. What seemed stable not long ago is now becoming a source of tension, cost and risk. At the same time, it is in these processes that opportunities lie that can become real advantages – provided we can look at them more broadly and without simplification.
On May 22, 2026, the Transportation Research Observatory invites you to a free webinar aimed at showing transportation and borders from a geopolitical, systemic and strategic perspective – without convenient narratives and technical shortcuts.
Why take part?
During the webinar:
- We will reveal uncomfortable truths affecting transportation system resilience, supply chains and mobility,
- We will show the hidden development opportunities arising from changes at the intersection of transportation, security and geopolitics,
- We will consider how to prepare organizations and public institutions for the coming changes – before the competition does.
This event will not be another “technical” webinar on infrastructure. It’s a shift in perspective and an invitation to think strategically.
Experts who set the stage for the debate
The program will feature recognized experts and practitioners, including:
- Krzysztof Rodziewicz – director of the Department of Transport Analyses, Center for EU Transport Projects, who will introduce participants to the strategic context of the meeting
- Dr. Jana Pieriegud, Prof. of SGH – expert of the Institute of Infrastructure, Transport and Mobility of SGH, independent expert of the European Commission, one of the most recognizable figures in the debate on the geopolitics of transport and resilience of logistics systems

Transportation is for everyone. Really?
Do EU funds really build transportation accessible to everyone? The discussion at the 57th TOB meeting showed that a formal framework is not enough: accessibility is determined by the entire system – from design, through testing with real users, to measuring effects. The conclusions are concrete: mandatory pre-commissioning test walks, a standard for multi-channel passenger information and analysis of data on actual use of solutions. Here are the conclusions of the 57th meeting of the Transportation Research Observatory.
