On the 3rd of March 2023 the Twinning project focused on increasing the road safety in Azerbaijan was launched in Baku. This topic gathered various stakeholders from Azerbaijan, Poland and Lithuania – countries involved in this initiative – during the launching event.

The first four-day mission of the EU-funded twinning project “Improving Road Safety in Azerbaijan”, Activity 1.1.1 “Gap Assessment Report and Recommendations for Road Safety Acts and Road Maps with Clear Time to Implement Assessment Report Recommendations” took place from 20^th to 23^rd of February, 2023.

According to the National Contact Point, located in the Department of Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, the beneficiary selected the Polish-Lithuanian twinning offer “Increasing Road Safety in Azerbaijan”.

The Center for EU Transport Projects continues to promote social participation in transport.

The Centre for EU Transport Projects together with the Ministry of Investment and Development, the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways and the Public Procurement Office submitted the winning bid in the call for projects announced by the European Commission under the twinning programme.

As part of the implementation of the European Commission’s Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX), representatives of the SOP Transport of Romania’s Managing Authority were guests in Warsaw and the Tri-City from 31 July to 4 August.

On September 6, 2017, the Centre for EU Transport Projects was pleased to host the representatives of an Ukrainian delegation for the second time. During the seminar, guests could learn how to organize the selection and evaluation system for projects co-financed by European funds and the methods of implementing them.

Today, the Center for EU Transport Projects has hosted representatives of the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications in Turkey. The meeting at the CEUTP was a part of their several-day visit to Poland.

On 24 October the CEUTP hosted a delegation from Georgia, including representatives of the Georgian government and local government administration responsible for the preparation and implementation of infrastructure projects.

On 23 July this year, CEUTP hosted a 12-person delegation from the Bulgarian National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC).

CEUTP for many years has been seeking to ensure effective public participation in the implementation of the Cohesion Policy in the transport sector. Therefore, in order to promote public participation in an improved way, CEUTP joined the European Commission’s pilot project on the involvement of citizens in the implementation of cohesion policy.

On 20 September this year, a conference was held in Tbilisi, summarising the twinning project, in the implementation of which on the part of the Polish partners were involved, among others, experts from CUPT.
