Nearly PLN 900 million from the European Funds for Eastern Poland (EFEP) programme for a new railway priority
The European Funds for Eastern Poland Programme for 2021–2027 (EFEP) is supposed to have two new priorities, i.e. support for military and civilian railway infrastructure and housing. These are changes assumed in the government draft resolution, approved by the Council of Ministers at the end of the year.

European Funds for railway: train station in Skierniewice after modernisation
Polskie Koleje Państwowe has completed the renovation of the train station in Skierniewice. The investment has received support from the European Funds via CEUTP. The renovated building is comfortable and meets all current passenger service standards, including when it comes to people with special needs.

In December, trains will be coming back to the Giżycko – Korsze route. As a result of the investment of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A., co-financed from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment (FEnIKS), residents and tourists will enjoy faster, safer and more eco-friendly travels.

Another section of Via Carpatia received funding: PLN 788 million for S19 express road, section Boćki – Chlebczyn
The Centre for EU Transport Projects, together with the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, signed an agreement regarding funding for a 41 km long section of the S19 express road between the towns of Boćki and Chlebczyn. Total amount of funding equals almost PLN 788 million.

Poland receives further millions from CEF for alternative fuel infrastructure
The Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy announced the end of the CEF AFIF 2024 (Connecting Europe Facility – Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Facility 2024) call for proposals. The European Commission has awarded funding to four projects that will contribute to the expansion of alternative fuels infrastructure in Poland.
